Penn's Creek Camp Ground, Pennsylvania Custom Search   Penns Creek Campground is located along Penns Creek at the base of Jacks Mountain in the beautiful Buffalo Valley of Union County Pennsylvania.   The campground was a former water powered sawmill.  The saw mill washed away in a flood but the mill race and dam that powered the water wheel are still in use today.  The campground is situated between the mill race and the main creek. We have sites to fit your every need from primative tent sites to full hook up drive thru sites. We are open from Mid April to Mid October and offer hot showers, dump     station, picnic pavilion, horse shoes, basketball, large playground and campground wide activities on most weekends. Holidays almost always require reservations and some sites are booked years in advance. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all time and must be quiet. Storage for Trailers, RVs available. Check at the office or pavilion for a list of campwide activities. No ATVs permitted. The Henstep Trail offers hiking at its best; the wonderful people of Hartleton like to hang out nearby. Henstep Run flows through this vicinity, and there's whitewater on Larrys Creek for all you adrenaline people. This campground is so pretty. Hiking along the Douty Mill Trail is tremendous fun, and lakes are such calm locations, why not explore Walker Lake. Yep, outdoors amusing things   to do are beyond doubt plentiful here at Penn's Creek Camp Ground. Penn's Creek Camp Ground is right by the Henstep Valley Trail, and a nice place nearby is Henstep Valley. Penn's Creek Camp Ground is a rather wet place usually with a good deal of rainfall; June is when you get the most rain here; January on the other hand is the driest. If the weather is good here at Penn's Creek Camp Ground, you can go for a hike along the Cold Spring Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend White Deer Creek. For the duration of the long summer days at Penn's Creek Camp Ground highs are frequently in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and night lows at Penn's Creek Camp Ground through the wintertime typically fall into the 10's. Coming to this campground is always a delightful idea. Going for a hike along the Middle Ridge Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and if you come at the right time of year, Elk Creek offers some good whitewater.
