Penn's Creek Camp Ground, Pennsylvania   Penns Creek Campground is located along Penns Creek at the base of Jacks Mountain in the beautiful Buffalo Valley of Union County Pennsylvania.   The campground was a former water powered sawmill.  The saw mill washed away in a flood but the mill race and dam that powered the water wheel are still in use today.  The campground is situated between the mill race and the main creek. We have sites to fit your every need from primative tent sites to full hook up drive thru sites. We are open from Mid April to Mid October and offer hot showers, dump     station, picnic pavilion, horse shoes, basketball, large playground and campground wide activities on most weekends. Holidays almost always require reservations and some sites are booked years in advance. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all time and must be quiet. Storage for Trailers, RVs available. Check at the office or pavilion for a list of campwide activities. No ATVs permitted. Penn's Creek Camp Ground is right by the Douty Mill Trail; Henstep Valley is another glorious spot to check out close by. All the water falling down from the sky makes Penn's Creek Camp Ground a wet place; June is when you get the most rain here; January is when it's the driest. Have a good hiking adventure along the Cold Spring Trail, and get dripping wet paddling on White Deer Creek. All   through the summer months, highs usually are in the 80's at Penn's Creek Camp Ground, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are mostly in the 30's with temperatures at Penn's Creek Camp Ground dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. Take a hike on the Middle Ridge Trail. The surroundings of this campground have so much to offer. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Penn's Creek Camp Ground; Henstep Trail is a brilliant local trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Larrys Creek. Penn's Creek Camp Ground really is in the middle of a scenic outdoors paradise. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Henstep Valley Trail, and lots of folks from Hartleton come here. Visit Henstep Run since you're here at Penn's Creek Camp Ground, and paddling on Elk Creek is so much fun.
