Minehart Dam to check out in the vicinity of Locust Campground; paddling on Kishacoquillas Creek is so much fun. Hiking along the Flat Trail is nice fun, and Minehart Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could check out.

Tussey
Mountain has good slopes and a friendly staff, and going for a hike along the Longfellow Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. During the summer highs here at Locust Campground get into the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. Highs through the winter are frequently in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Locust Campground are in the 10's.
