| | Lickdale Campground and General Store is located 2. 5 miles from the Appalachian Trail along the Swatara Creek in Lebanon County Pennsylvania. Our large log cabin General Store is located just east of Route 72 on Lickdale Road, only 999 feet from I-81, Exit 90.
We are open year round and feature a large general store which always is stocked with fresh milk, bread, food staples, lunchmeat & cheeses as well as delicious Broaster chicken and Hershey's ice cream.
We offer Tube, kayak and canoe rentals from spring till fall with livery service |
to points north of the campground.
Large tent sites are available, most are primitive.
Will provide shuttle service back to trail and serve as a mail drop with prior notice.
A journey to Monroe Valley is always fun, and why not take a refreshing hike along
| the Greenland Trail. This campground is so delightful. There's whitewater on Susquehanna River for all you adrenaline kick people, and Blue Marsh is a great local ski area. Coming to this campground is always a perfect idea. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Conewago Creek - East; hiking is a popular thing to do around Lickdale Campground; Hostler Trail is a magnificent local trail.; most of the rain falls through June; February is when it's the driest.

at Lickdale Campground is never a bad idea, and do take a hike on the Lukes Trail. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Freeport Mills Golf Course, and there's great hiking along the Horseshoe Trail. Shuey Lake is a great lake right next door to Lickdale
Campground, and great hiking is available along the Old Indian Trail.
Forge Creek is a great spot to check out. This place is so good, just look at all the fun things to do in close proximity to Lickdale Campground. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Cricket
Hollow Golf Course is close at hand; you'll meet a lot of people from Jonestown here. The warmest time of the year at Lickdale Campground arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Lickdale Campground dipping down into the 10's during winter nights.
