are so inviting nobody can resist; the Buzzard Trail is a glorious hiking trail close by.
This campground is so great. In case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on French Creek; close by you hit upon the Lenade Trail which is a good
hiking trail. Everybody loves Brandywine Creek State Park, and Walden Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to. This is such a great campground. Paddling on Brandywine Creek - East Branch is so much fun, and naturally Schlegel Run flows through this region.
High temperatures
at Hickory Park Campground through the warm months are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Hickory Park Campground are in the 10's.
A good deal of rain falls at Hickory Park Campground; the month with most of the rain is May while February is generally the driest month.
