Gifford Pinchot State Park is a wonderful place any time of year, and skiing at Ski Roundtop is one of those things you just have to do. This campground is so glorious. A round of golf at nearby Dauphin Highlands Golf Course is a perfect way to kill some time; you can run the rapids of Codorus Creek. most rain here, and the driest month of the year is January. Don't forget to take a great little journey to Buser Run, and during your trip here you'll meet some folks from Highspire for sure.

Rocks State Park is a great location to visit, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Beaver Creek. All through the months of summer at Harrisburg East Campground temperatures are regularly in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Harrisburg East Campground are in the 10's.
