Going for a hike on the Boulder Field Trail is always a good adventure, unsurprisingly you could also stop at Indian Mountain Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. The warmest time of the year at Fernridge Campground arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Fernridge Campground are in the 10's. Fernridge Campground is located in an area with loads   of fun things to do, and if you're trying to find a great place to go for a weekend of camping, this is a nice selection. Coming to this campground is always a fine idea. Don't leave Fernridge Campground without first going for a hike along the Lakeside Trail, and drift down the rapids of Tunkhannock Creek in a kayak. The great folks who run this place and loads of fun things to do have people coming from all over. Fernridge Campground is a rather wet place typically with a good deal of rain; August is the month that gets the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. Beltzville State Park is a delightful place to stop at, and Indian Mountain Lake Dam is a pretty spot. A journey to Gouldsboro State Park revives the soul, and you can go for a hike on the Indian Trail. This campground is so stunning. A glorious forest close to Fernridge Campground is Delaware-Lehigh State Experimental Forest, and there are brilliant sites to look at along the Camelback Trail. You'll meet a lot of people from Kresgeville here; if you come at the right time of year, Lehigh River offers some great whitewater.
