This is such a splendid campground. Mount Holly Springs Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit, and Catoctin Mountain Park is a glorious national park. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff close to Deer Run Campground. A perfect location for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Deer Run Campground is Beaver Creek, and going for a hike on the Hammonds Rocks Trail is always a great adventure.
