Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Carlisle Campground is a good place of normal rainfall; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest.
Carlisle Campground is near Gifford Pinchot State Park which is a pretty place; the Maple Hollow Trail is a delightful hiking trail close by. This campground is always a pleasure. Catoctin Mountain |
Park is a fine national park, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Mayapple Golf Links. Carlisle Campground is a very popular old favorite campground among the folks of Boiling Springs.
If you like skiing, you're in luck; Ski Roundtop is in the neighborhood of Carlisle Campground;
| there are some great whitewater spots on Beaver Creek.
Outdoors recreation is abundant, some of the exciting stuff you can do is playing golf, hiking, and whitewater paddling, so there's absolutely no way to get bored. If you come at the right time of year, Conewago Creek - West offers some delightful whitewater, and Wertz Run is near Carlisle Campground and is always a joy to take a look at.
