Caffrey Recreation Area, Pennsylvania   Pennsylvania is a wonderful place for outdoors people. The delightful choice of local attractions, and the nearby outdoors recreation will make you happy you came. If you love the outdoors, you won’t be let down; there's swimming, fishing, whitewater paddling, and hiking, so you won’t run out of things to do. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Wallenpaupack Creek, and there is a glorious hiking trail nearby called the Brown Trail. At Caffrey Recreation Area exciting stuff to do is abundant, and what a wonderful place for camping it is. Not     enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. Upper Delaware Scenic & Recreational River is a magnificent national park. At last, camping time is here again, and Caffrey Recreation Area is a wonderful local campground if you happen to be in Pennsylvania. Now, you may imagine that's a heap but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Caffrey Recreation Area. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can go to Kelly Lake Dam, and Moc-a-Tek Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. Famous Pennsylvania generosity and the splendid quality of everything here have people coming from near and far. Caffrey Recreation Area is esteemed by people from Paupack. You'll meet a lot of people from Paupack here, and if the weather is delightful, you can go for a hike along the Boundary Trail. All our national parks are great places to   explore, and Delaware National Scenic River is no exception, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Ski Big Bear. Go for a hike on the Blooming Grove Trail, and a trip to Tobyhanna State Park when you're here is never a bad idea. At Caffrey Recreation Area through the summer months highs are in the 70's; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. All through the winter highs are regularly in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Caffrey Recreation Area. Many people stay at Caffrey Recreation Area to be right next door to Upper Delaware Scenic & Recreational River. This campground is always a diversion. The White Deer Trail is a nice hiking trail close to Caffrey Recreation Area; Gouldsboro State Park is a fine location to visit on a delightful day. Looking for some flowing water? Try Swan Creek, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Wallenpaupack Creek - East Branch. The high level of rainfall makes Caffrey Recreation Area a quite wet place; during June this area sees the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. This is such a wonderful campground. Get soaked paddling on Middle Creek - Lackawaxen Tributary; going for a hike on the West Branch Bruce Lake Trail is always a great adventure.
