| | A visit to Oregon is not complete without some camping. Now, you may believe that's lots but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here in the Coast Ranges. Shepards Point is not far from Waldport - Newport Koa at all, and a great sight of stunning Mount Eckman is available. In the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Alsea River; if you've had enough of Waldport - Newport Koa, Eckman Lake is nearby. So many local attractions and such an incredible array of things to do are great reasons to come.

Waldport - Newport Koa wasn't enough, you can also go fishing, playing golf, whitewater paddling, hiking, and swimming, so you won’t run out of things to do. All the water falling down from the sky makes Waldport - Newport Koa a wet place; the month with most of the rain is December,
| and the driest month is July. This campground is always a delight. Eckman Creek flows through this vicinity, and a tour to Ona Beach State Park is a splendid idea.
Whitewater paddling is fine on Siuslaw River.
This is such a pretty campground. There are plenty of folks from Waldport here at Waldport - Newport Koa; a spree here wouldn’t be complete without a spree to nearby Beachside State Park. Beach is relatively close by if you're in a beach type of mood. Do stop at Lint Slough Dam if you're here at Waldport - Newport Koa, and there are swamps here too, Eckman Slough is close at hand.
