Going for a backcountry walk outdoes anything;       the 4.8-mile-long Threemile Lake Trail is around here; it has a variation between top and bottom of 534 feet. A spree to Bastendorff Beach in the vicinity of Umpqua Lighthouse is always a delightful idea, and why not explore North   Jetty while you're here. All year is a glorious time in the Coast Ranges if you have a thing about the outdoors. William M. Tugman State Park is a pretty site any time of year; a tour to Halfmoon Bay is always a great idea. This is a great campground.
