Going for a hike on the Varney Creek Trail is always a tremendous adventure, and Jackson F. Kimball State Park is a perfect place to go. Outdoors recreation is plentiful, some of the cool stuff you can do is hiking, and whitewater paddling, so most likely you want to stay a while. On a great day at Sportsman's River Retreat you can take a hike along the Moss Creek Trail, and a visit to Crater Lake National Park is worthwhile.
