South Shore - Deschutes National Forest, Oregon   Such a perfect selection of attractions and so much to do will make you happy you came. If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors, just come on down to South Shore. Places like Pilot Butte State Park are perfect to explore, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Deschutes River. If you're a golfer then a glorious nearby course is Widgi Creek Golf Club, and not far from South Shore you'll come across Mirror Pond which is a beautiful lake. At South Shore you don’t see much precipitation; throughout the month of December you get the most snow around     here while July is mostly the driest month. The scenery at North Unit Diversion Dam in the neighborhood of South Shore is beautiful, and you get a great sight of Pilot Butte from here. Head up to Mt. Bachelor and strap some skis to your feet. Oregon is a great outdoors state. Some people stay here when they come to visit Pilot Butte State Park. There are so many fun things next to South Shore, and what a great place for camping it is. The friendly staff and the perfectly taken care of facilities are in themselves reason enough to come here. Through the summer, highs typically are in the 80's at South Shore, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. Throughout the wintertime highs are mostly in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to South Shore. At last, camping time is here once more, and South Shore   in Oregon is a really great place to spend some time. South Shore is a location with many visitors from Bend, and why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Orion Golf Course. Coming to this campground is always a magnificent idea. Tumalo State Park is a magnificent place; if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because River's Edge Golf Course is around here. South Shore is a campground that is exceptionally prized by the residents of Bend.
