Take a hike on the Swampy Lakes Trail; a round of golf at nearby River's Edge Golf Course is a delightful way to kill some time. The kind people working here and the good mass of fun activities
will make you feel good.
Places like Pilot Butte State Park are good to check out; Deschutes River is a great whitewater spot nearby. Simax is often visited by the people from Bend.
But wait, there's more to do in close proximity to Simax. Not far from Simax you get some
splendid water scenery at North Unit Diversion Dam, and if you're a golfer then a glorious nearby course is Lost Tracks Golf Club. Lots of people camp here to be in the neighborhood of Pilot Butte State Park.
