There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Willamette Pass; there's magnificent hiking along the Pretty Lake Trail. This is such a delightful campground. Simax Bay is close at hand and always wonderful to check out, and a great location for whitewater paddling is Hills Creek. A trip to Willamette National Forest rejuvenates the spirit. Crescent Lake Dam has good water scenery and it's right next door to Shelter Cove Resort, and     hiking is a popular thing to do around Shelter Cove Resort; Windy Lakes Trail is a splendid local trail. The pleasant variety of local attractions and such a pleasant variety of outdoors recreation will make you glad you came. Shelter Cove Resort is often visited by the residents of Crescent Lake. At Shelter Cove Resort through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are frequently in the 40's; overnight lows in the 20's for Shelter Cove Resort.
