Hiking is a popular thing to do around Rock Creek; Fanton Plaza Trail is a fine local trail. While you're here at Rock Creek you will meet lots of people from close by Sandy,     and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Firwood Veneer Corporation Reservoir. Having a wonderful time at Rock Creek is painless. Hiking along the Cold Spring Trail is glorious fun, and Bowman Creek is next to Rock Creek and is always a pleasure to stop by. The high level of precipitation makes Rock Creek a rather wet site; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. The people who take care of the campground and the great quantity of fun things to do makes the tour here worthwhile. The good variety of local attractions and the good variety of outdoors recreation will definitely have you coming back time and again. Now, you may believe that's loads but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Central Cascade Range. A trip to   Crown Point State Park rejuvenates the soul; there's always Firwood Veneer Corporation Dam to pop by near Rock Creek. There's great hiking along the Eagle Creek Cutoff, and if you come at the right time of year, Bull Run offers some wonderful whitewater. There's more to do in close proximity to Rock Creek other than just hanging out such as fishing, hiking, whitewater paddling, and swimming, so you won’t run out of things to do. Can't wait to raise that tent of yours; Rock Creek in Oregon is just what you need. This is a great campground. George W. Joseph State Park is a good site to stop by, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Sandy River. There's absolutely no way to run out of fun things to do in close proximity to Rock Creek; it indisputably is a brilliant campground. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Rock Creek. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's while the cold winter nights at Rock Creek are in the 30's.
