Riverside - Mount Hood National Forest, Central Cascade Range, Oregon   The great selection of local attractions, and such a great variety of outdoors recreation will positively have you coming back persistently. This is such a gorgeous campground. Don't leave Riverside without first going for a hike along the Fanton Plaza Trail. Riverside is liked by campers from Sandy. If you are in Oregon during camping season, you must go camping. There's such a large number of things to do in the vicinity of Riverside, and to be at this campground is pleasant fun any time. Riverside is one of the places to camp here in the Central     Cascade Range. Ok, it's the right time to go camping, wouldn't you agree? Riverside in Oregon is precisely the spot. Go for a hike on the Eagle Creek Cutoff; George W. Joseph State Park is a delightful spot to go. Summer at Riverside comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Riverside temperatures dip to the 30's. Scores of folks select this campground when they come to check out George W. Joseph State Park. The friendly folks working here and the skillfully kept up facilities have folks coming from all over. Be careful coming to the Central Cascade Range, you might not ever wanna go home again. The Cold Spring Trail offers hiking at its best, and don't leave without stopping   by Crown Point State Park. There's more to do close to Riverside other than just hanging out such as hiking, fishing, swimming, and whitewater paddling, so there's no way to get bored. There's always Firwood Veneer Corporation Dam to stop at close to Riverside, and unsurprisingly Bowman Creek flows through this vicinity. This is such a great campground. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Riverside; Dry Ridge Trail is a magnificent local trail, and glide down the rapids of Sandy River in a kayak. Man, is there plenty of fun things to do near Riverside. You'll stumble on a stunning lake called Roslyn Lake near Riverside, and paddling on Bull Run is so much fun. Riverside is a wet place that gets a large amount of rainfall; through the month of December you get the most rain around here, and July on the other hand is the driest. That right there is lots of fun things already but it goes on, the Central Cascade Range has it all. Good hiking is available along the Old Baldy Trail, and you'll meet a lot of people from Sandy here.
