Rainbow - Mount Hood National Forest, Central Cascade Range, Oregon Custom Search   Rainbow is a campground that is exceptionally esteemed by the residents of Sandy. This campground is so wonderful. If you get bored of Rainbow, you could also pop by close by Firwood Veneer Corporation Reservoir, and don't leave Rainbow without first going for a hike along the Old Baldy Trail. This is such a wonderful campground. Bowman Creek flows through this area. Scores of people stay at Rainbow to be close to George W. Joseph State Park. There are so many fun things to do near Rainbow, and when you have spent some time here you will feel like     a whole new person. You'll meet a lot of people from Sandy here, and a visit here wouldn’t be complete without a spree to nearby Crown Point State Park. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. If you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sandy River, and there's brilliant hiking along the Cold Spring Trail. All the water falling down from the sky makes Rainbow a wet site; the month with most of the rain is December, and July is when it's the driest. All through the summer months, highs frequently are in the 80's at Rainbow while overnight lows are usually in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Rainbow. The workforce that manages this campground and the well run operations are a   great draw for scores of folks. We should all go camping from time to time, and Rainbow in Oregon is a tremendous site to go. There's more to do close to Rainbow other than just hanging out such as hiking, swimming, fishing, and whitewater paddling, so possibly you want to stick around. So many local attractions and all the outdoors recreation are good reasons to come. Just can't get enough of the Central Cascade Range. Good hiking is available along the Dry Ridge Trail, and going for a hike on the Eagle Creek Cutoff is always a great adventure. Going camping here in Oregon is something you should do. And if that's not enough there's lots more amusing things to do in the Central Cascade Range. Don't leave Rainbow without visiting George W. Joseph State Park, and Bull Run is a great whitewater spot nearby. Firwood Veneer Corporation Dam is beautiful and it's close to Rainbow, and there are great places to explore along the Fanton Plaza Trail. Rainbow is one of the sites to camp here in the Central Cascade Range.
