| | Oakfork is a very popular campground among people from Sandy. Several people opt for this campground for the purpose of being near George W. Joseph State Park. This camp ground is one of the fine spots to camp here in the Central Cascade Range. This is such a fun spot for a campground. On a fine day at Oakfork you can take a hike along the Fanton Plaza Trail. Summertime highs at Oakfork generally tend to be in the 80's. lows at Oakfork through the winter typically sink into the 30's. So many enjoyable things to do in the Central Cascade Range, not enough time. There is a tremendous hiking trail in the vicinity of Oakfork called the Old Baldy Trail, and since you're here you can take a hike along
| the Eagle Creek Cutoff. The good variety of local attractions and so many things to do will make you pleased you came. This campground is always a bliss. If you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bull Run, and Oakfork is not the only place close by, Roslyn Lake is a close by lake. Everybody loves Crown Point State Park, and lots of people from Sandy come here. Spring Trail is always a glorious adventure, and you don’t have to go far from Oakfork to make out the water at Firwood Veneer Corporation Dam. If you are in Oregon throughout camping season, you should go camping. All the water falling down from the sky makes Oakfork a wet
place; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and July is when it's the driest. If you like the outdoors, you won’t be dissatisfied; there's fishing, hiking, whitewater paddling, and swimming, so you won’t get bored. Just can't get enough of Oakfork.
Sandy River has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby, and George W. Joseph State Park is a fine site. This location, the Central Cascade Range, has so much outdoors fun stuff. A quick trip to Bowman Creek in the neighborhood of Oakfork is a magnificent idea, and close by you
stumble on the Dry Ridge Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. Oakfork is positioned in an area with a lot of fun stuff to do, and to be at this place is always fun. When was the last occasion you went camping for a couple of days? Oakfork in Oregon is a magnificent spot to go.
