Oakfork - Mount Hood National Forest, Central Cascade Range, Oregon Custom Search   Alright, you've been indoors for too much time, time to get out; Oakfork in Oregon is a nice selection. Don't leave Oakfork without first going for a hike along the Eagle Creek Cutoff, and you positively should stop by Crown Point State Park while you're here. High temperatures at Oakfork during the warm months are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are usually in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at     Oakfork. Oakfork usually gets a large amount of rain; December is the month that gets the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. Outdoors recreation is plentiful, some of the cool stuff you can do is fishing, whitewater paddling, swimming, and hiking, so you won’t get bored. Lots of fun is at this campground. There are some good whitewater spots on Bull Run, and Firwood Veneer Corporation Dam is not far at all from Oakfork. The Dry Ridge Trail offers hiking at its best, and if you're visiting from Sandy, you won't be the only one. Lots of people stay here to be next to George W. Joseph State Park. So much amusing stuff to do here in the Central Cascade Range, too brilliant to be true. George W. Joseph State Park is a great spot to stop at on a lovely day, and a quick spree to Bowman Creek is positively   a brilliant idea. The great selection of local attractions, and such a great variety of outdoors recreation will make you delighted you came. All year is a great time in the Central Cascade Range if you love the outdoors. There are other sites here than Oakfork, for example Firwood Veneer Corporation Reservoir, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Oakfork; Old Baldy Trail is a perfect local trail. There's no way to run out of cool stuff to do near Oakfork; to be at this campground is always fun. While going to this vicinity in Oregon it's a nice idea to go camping too. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Sandy River, and brilliant hiking is available along the Fanton Plaza Trail. This camp ground is situated in the picturesque Central Cascade Range. This campground is a splendid place to visit. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Cold Spring Trail. Oakfork is a very popular old favorite campground among people in Sandy. The positive atmosphere and the well kept up facilities attract folks from far and near.
