Get yourself into a kayak and hit Marys River, and Sarah Helmick State Park is a great location. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Coast Ranges. There are some great whitewater spots on Willamette River; you're sure to stumble upon some wonderful people from Corvallis here.
Horsfall is to be found in the Coast Ranges. For the period of the warm days of summer here at Horsfall, high temperatures typically reach the 80's, and the night is somewhat cooler of course, mostly in the 40's. Throughout the wintertime highs are regularly in the 40's, and night lows during the winter for Horsfall tend to be in the 30's. As long as you fancy the outdoors you will fancy Oregon.
