If you're visiting Honey Bear Campground from Brookings, you won't be the only one. This campground is so pleasant. A day at Ophir Beach in the vicinity of Honey Bear Campground is time well spent, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Hazel Camp Trail. Now, you may think that's a heap but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here in the Coast Ranges. Cedar Point is around here and always great to pop by; a tour to Humbug Mountain State Park when you're here is never a bad idea. And if that's not enough, there's lots more to do in the vicinity of Honey Bear Campground. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Elk River; you unquestionably ought to have a   look at Cape Sebastian State Park since you're here.
