Harris Beach State Park, Coast Ranges, Oregon   The Coast Ranges scenery is always charming. There's no way to get bored in Oregon if you fancy the outdoors. During the summer months at Harris Beach State Park highs are usually in the 60's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. Brookings Log Pond Dam is worth a visit while you're here, and Azalea State Park is worth taking a look at. Many people choose this campground through their spree to Harris Beach. Yep, outdoors amusing stuff truly is abundant here in the Coast Ranges. Why not take a refreshing hike along   the Packsaddle Trail, and get your heart beating on the glorious whitewater of Smith River - North Fork. All our national parks are great spots to go to, and Redwood National and State Parks is no exception, and if you're dropping by from Brookings, you won't be the only one. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up. In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Smith River - Middle Fork, and don't leave Harris Beach State Park without first going for a hike along the Hazel Camp Trail. All the splendid local attractions close by and such a splendid variety of outdoors recreation will make you delighted you came. Harris Beach State Park is a popular spot with residents of Brookings.
