Frog Lake is a cute little lake that lives up to its name. When we visited in early September, the shoreline was covered with little black frogs. The east side of Mount Hood overlooks the campsites. Says E. Hungerman
This is a brilliant campground. Going to Crown Point State Park right next door to Frog Lake is a pleasant thing to do. A campground like this is too brilliant to miss. If you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bull Run; there is a great |
hiking trail nearby called the Fanton Plaza Trail. The Central Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. Frog Lake is a campground pretty often visited by residents of Sandy. Some folks select this campground for the purpose of being next to George W. Joseph State Park.
| Frog Lake is a quite wet place generally with a good deal of rain; the wettest month of the year is usually December, that's the one that rains the most; July is when it's the driest. The personnel of this great campground and all the cool stuff have many folks coming here. This sector of Oregon is always a pleasure to stop by throughout camping season. There's more to do in the vicinity of Frog Lake other than just hanging out such as whitewater paddling, hiking, fishing, and swimming, so you won’t get bored. is always a wonderful adventure, and why not check out Firwood Veneer Corporation Dam if you're here. Sandy River has a perfect whitewater paddling spot nearby, and Frog Lake is not the only site close by, Firwood Veneer Corporation Reservoir is a close by lake. Everybody must
go camping sometimes, and Frog Lake, Oregon is a great spot for getting out. And if that's not enough, there's loads more to do near Frog Lake. On a splendid day at Frog Lake you can take a hike along the Eagle Creek Cutoff, and Bowman Creek is one of the streams close by that
might be worth a visit. It's completely out of the question to run out of cool stuff to do right next door to Frog Lake; it is a very great campground. So much cool stuff to do here in the Central Cascade Range, too great to be true. Lots of folks from Sandy come to Frog Lake,
and you can go for a hike on the Dry Ridge Trail. Man, is there a heap of entertaining stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range. Don't leave Frog Lake without first going for a hike along the Cold Spring Trail, and a trip to George W. Joseph State Park is a tremendous idea.
Summertime at Frog Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 40's; nighttime lows at Frog Lake during the winter commonly descend into the 30's. The nice local attractions and all the outdoors recreation are guaranteed to keep you coming back time and again.
