Not a bad spot. The lookout shares a hilltop with a microwave tower and its outbuildings, which gives off an automated humming. A cellphone tower is on the next hill over, so you can probably get reception. Electric stove, heater, fridge, toaster, lights, outlets. Not exactly getting away from it all, but still nice. The stargazing was excellent. Daytime views were ok. Hiking in the immediate area wasn't very exciting, requiring much dodging of cow pies, as these hills are used to graze cattle. Saw a few deer, lots of chipmunks, and a few birds, though the birds preferred to be heard and not seen. This

hilltop also seems to be a destination for weekend partiers, as we had a few late night visitors who drove up, then left immediately after spying our car. Says Thomas Henry Campbell
