Coming from I-5, you turn right at MP 11. 5 on Lost Cr Rd (first right turn after MP 11) and then left on Dexter Rd. ; coming from Bend, we are located 1. 5 miles past the turn-off to Lowell, turning left on Lost Cr Rd. And left on Dexter Rd.
Not only is the view terrific from the park, there are a variety of things to see in our area. Oakridge, Springfield and Eugene are about 15-20 minutes away and also offer a variety of recreation events. See the |
enclosed handout on ''Things to See. ''
We have pull through and back in sites; Tent sites sit in a grove of trees and each has its own fire pit. Two Park Model trailers are available to rent. All sites have picnic tables. The RV sites have full hook ups (30-50 amp), cable

Caravans don't have to pay a fee for kitchen use; other guests could be charged from $15 to $25, depending on the use. |
in the Park or in the surrounding area.
In the spring the wildflowers are all abloom with beautiful pinks, blues, yellows, and lavender. The trees are starting to put on their new foliage and the birds are abundant. There is a resident Osprey in one of the trees outside
the Park, but you can view it the RV area. They are noisy but fun to watch as the parents bring fish and snakes to their young for food. We also have a semi-resident, the Great Blue Heron; it passes through in the morning and evening and is awesome. There are hawks, eagles, red-winged
blackbirds, starlings, blue jays, and an occasional kingfisher landing in the bushes or flying by. A birding trail is located in nearby Oakridge which is 22 miles from Dexter Shores.
During the summer months, there are a variety of activities as depicted on the handout.
All are fun, especially the Blackberry Jam with the many events going on in Lowell which is only 2 miles from our Park.
As July turns to August, the blackberries begin to ripen and are ready to pick off the bushes in our Park and in the nearby areas. It's fun to just pick
and eat some as you go!
In the fall you'll see an array of colors in the various deciduous trees and shrubs along with the stately evergreen trees staying their wonderful lush green color.
We are about an hours drive to snowmobiling and cross-country skiing at Crescent
Lake Resort, which is a part of the Hoodoo Family. Before reaching Crescent Lake Resort, you'll arrive at the top of Willamette Pass where you can find downhill skiing.
Crater Lake (about 100 miles) and the Beach Cities (about an hour) would make great day trips. Cottage
Grove and Coburg have antique shops and are interesting towns to visit (each is about 20 miles from Park)
