Summertime highs at Detroit Lake State Park frequently tend to be in the 70's. Summer night lows dip down to the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Detroit Lake State Park. The nice local attractions and such a nice variety of outdoors recreation will undeniably have you coming back repeatedly. Detroit Lake State Park is a great place to check out on a pretty day, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Rocky Top Trail. It's impossible to run out of entertaining stuff to do in close proximity to Detroit Lake State Park; camping is such an enjoyable activity, and this is a good location to do that. Just can't get enough of the Central   Cascade Range. There's whitewater on Breitenbush River for all you adrenaline people, and you can have a delightful hiking adventure along the Twin Lakes Trail. There's nice hiking along the French Creek Trail; you can run the rapids of Santiam River - North. Some of the things you can do here at Detroit Lake State Park are swimming, whitewater paddling, hiking, and fishing, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. The good folks who operate this location and the large number of entertaining stuff to do have folks coming here. And if that's not enough there's a lot more amusing stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range. Lots of folks from Detroit come to Detroit Lake State Park, and the Beachie Trail offers hiking at its best. This campground has so much cool stuff to offer. Lakes are perfect; Giebeler Lake is a lake that's close to Detroit Lake State Park; a visit to Detroit Lake State Park when you're here is never a bad idea. Detroit Lake State Park mostly gets lots of precipitation; during the month of December you get the most rain around here while July is mostly the driest month. This section of Oregon is always a joy to have a look at all through camping season.
