Crooked River Ranch RV Park, Oregon Custom Search   We chose this location because of my interest in the Crooked River gorge, and because it was within 1-day driving distance of John Day Fossil Beds. The park itself is quite nice...although there were parties on both sides of us, we did not feel crowded. The adjacent golf course pool is open to RV campers. It's a long walk, but a convenient short drive. There's a viewing platform overlooking the gorge, which was a plus for me. Rates were quite reasonable for the type of facility. Crooked River is a great whitewater spot in close proximity to Crooked River Ranch RV Park, and since you're here you can play some golf at Juniper Golf Club Restaurant & Lounge. Not much rainfall falls here at Crooked River Ranch RV Park; November is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is July. Do check out Lions Lake in the vicinity of Crooked River Ranch RV Park, it's a delightful lake. This campground is always a bliss. Lots of folks from Redmond come to Crooked River Ranch RV Park; a tour to Peter Skene Ogden State Park revitalizes the soul. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Crooked River Ranch RV Park. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 40's.
