Clackamas Lake - Mount Hood National Forest, Central Cascade Range, Oregon   This camp ground is one of the great sites to camp here in the Central Cascade Range. Throughout the days of summer here at Clackamas Lake, high temperatures typically get into the 80's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Clackamas Lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Don't leave Clackamas Lake without first going for a hike along the Old Baldy Trail; Bowman Creek is near Clackamas Lake and is always a delight to visit. So much enjoyable     stuff to do here in the Central Cascade Range, too good to be true. Good hiking is available along the Dry Ridge Trail; George W. Joseph State Park is a perfect site to stretch your legs a bit. Several people camp here during their visit to George W. Joseph State Park. You're most likely hooked on lakes, Roslyn Lake is one of those nearby, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Clackamas Lake; Cold Spring Trail is a magnificent local trail. A lot of fun is at this campground. Places like Crown Point State Park are delightful to take a look at. Man, is there a heap of entertaining stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range. While you're here at Clackamas Lake you will meet lots of folks from close by Sandy, and you can go for a hike on the Fanton Plaza Trail. The staff of this delightful campground and the exceptionally   skillfully controlled facilities have folks coming from near and far. Outdoors folks generally fancy this sector of Oregon.
