A picturesque backpacking trail in the vicinity, 12.5 miles from start to finish, boasting an elevation difference of 1,926 feet is Horse Creek Trail. Horse Creek Trail is a difficult one and a half days   of backpacking. When you're here at Chinook RV Park it's always fun to stop at Ona Beach State Park; nearby you locate the Horse Creek Trail which is a delightful hiking trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Coast Ranges.
