Chetco RV Park is a relatively wet place ordinarily with lots of precipitation; December is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month of the year is July. The views at Redwood National and State Parks will blow your mind, and you can always enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Harris Beach.

Cove is reasonably in the neighborhood of Chetco RV Park, and in case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Smith River - South Fork.

| | - North Fork is a great whitewater spot close to Chetco RV Park; swing by Grant Creek it's a pleasant place to explore. For the duration of the summer months, highs mostly are in the 60's at Chetco RV Park, and the night is a bit cooler of course, frequently in the 50's. This camp ground is to be found in the beautiful Coast Ranges. Now, you may believe that's plenty but there's even
more entertaining things to do here in the Coast Ranges. Lakes? Sure, South Coast Log Pond is in close proximity; if you're interested in cool geologic characteristics try Tide Rock.
Chetco RV Park is in close proximity to Harris Beach State Park which is a scenic spot, and
there are plenty of people from Brookings here at Chetco RV Park. Chetco RV Park is a very popular campground with the folks of Brookings. Yeah, come here to Chetco RV Park for a tremendous time. Port of Brookings is an exciting thing to check out, and if you're looking for a beach
close by we recommend Lone Ranch Beach.
There's such a vast number of things to do at Chetco RV Park including fishing, swimming, whitewater paddling, and hiking, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting
things the Coast Ranges has to offer. Whitewater paddling is splendid on Smith River - Middle Fork. You certainly should visit Azalea State Park since you're here at Chetco RV Park, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Hazel Camp Trail.
