An excellent zoo in the neighborhood of Champoeg   State Park is Oregon Zoo; they have scores of delightful animals. While you're here at Champoeg State Park and you want to go for a horse ride, you could pop by Pearson Pride Farm. If you have a boat, Fred's Marina is a tremendous marina, and since you're here, you could also take a look at pretty Timothy Lake.
