If you come at the right time of year, Nehalem River offers some great whitewater, as expected you could also pop by Hawkins Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. Knickerson Creek flows through this vicinity, and at Big Eddy County Park you can make out O-A Hill. The Coast Ranges scenery is always scenic.
