Armstrong - Mount Hood National Forest, Central Cascade Range, Oregon   There's plenty of outdoors recreation available in close proximity such as hiking, swimming, whitewater paddling, and fishing, so you won’t get bored. For the duration of the summer months at Armstrong temperatures are frequently in the 80's; the overnight is a little cooler of course, generally in the 50's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Armstrong sink into the 30's. Oregon is a good location for campers. At Armstrong amusing stuff to do is plentiful, and if you're trying to locate a good location to go for a camping trip, this is a great choice. You'll discover a scenic lake called Roslyn Lake near Armstrong; there are great places to explore along the Eagle Creek Cutoff. And that's not all you can do here at Armstrong. Armstrong is right by the Cold Spring Trail; Crown Point State Park is a nice site to stretch your legs a bit. Do visit Firwood Veneer Corporation Dam since you're here at Armstrong, and Armstrong is near George W. Joseph State Park which is a picturesque spot. The good folks who operate this location and a great variety of enjoyable stuff are incentive enough to come here. The high level of precipitation makes Armstrong a quite wet spot; throughout December this area sees the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month.
