Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the Central Cascade Range. Visit Bowman Creek if you're here at Armstrong; there are some great whitewater spots on Sandy River. This campground is so nice. You'll discover a scenic lake called Roslyn Lake near Armstrong; there
are great places to explore along the Eagle Creek Cutoff. And that's not all you can do here at Armstrong. Armstrong is right by the Cold Spring Trail; Crown Point State Park is a nice site to stretch your legs a bit. Do visit Firwood Veneer Corporation Dam since you're here
at Armstrong, and Armstrong is near George W. Joseph State Park which is a picturesque spot. The good folks who operate this location and a great variety of enjoyable stuff are incentive enough to come here. The high level of precipitation makes Armstrong a quite wet spot; throughout December this area sees the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month.
