The personnel who's always there to assist and the great facilities have many people coming here. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Whitesands Campgrounds. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's with temperatures at Whitesands Campgrounds dipping down into the 10's through winter   nights. Drift down the rapids of Scioto River in a kayak, and Horse Shoe Bottom is a delightful place here at Whitesands Campgrounds. Whitesands Campgrounds is a good place of normal rain; May is when you get the most rain here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. There's loads of outdoors recreation available close by such as whitewater paddling, and playing golf, so possibly you want to stay a while. Mt. Gilead State Park is worth a visit if you're at Whitesands Campgrounds, and Oakhaven Golf Club is a perfect golf course close by. The good people of Delaware like to hang out close by, and if you're here you can play some golf at Rolling Meadows Golf Club.
