This campground is so tremendous. Harmon Golf Club is a glorious golf course close by, and if you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Second Creek. Don't leave Big Turtle Campground without going to Stonelick State Park; a journey here wouldn’t be complete
| without a visit to close by East Fork State Park. Throughout the summertime months here at Big Turtle Campground, high temperatures typically reach the 80's, and the nighttime is rather cooler of course, ordinarily in the 60's. Through the wintertime highs are frequently in the 30's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Big Turtle Campground dip into the 10's.
