Hit the slopes at Scaly Mountain in the neighborhood, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Foothills Trail. This campground is so glorious. At Intermont Dam next to Westridge there are some interesting things to see; enjoy a round of golf at Lake Toxaway Company Country Club. Soar down the rapids of Toxaway River - Upper in a kayak; the good folks of Sapphire like to hang out close by.

You've gotta get out, and Westridge in North Carolina is exactly the spot. That right there is plenty of exciting stuff already but it goes on, the Blue Ridge Mountains has it all. Lots of folks stay here to be in the vicinity of Francis Marion-Sumter National Forests. Westridge is a very popular campground
among the folks in Sapphire. There's absolutely no way to run out of fun stuff to do in the vicinity of Westridge; what a fine spot for camping it is.
Be careful coming to the Blue Ridge Mountains, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Westridge is right by the Whiteside
Mountain National Recreation Trail, and sites like Francis Marion-Sumter National Forests are good to pop by. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Westridge. Through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's with winter
lows in the 20's overnight here at Westridge.
James Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth a visit, and if you come at the right time of year, Thompson River offers some great whitewater. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. While you're here at Westridge you
can play some golf at Sapphire Lakes Country Club, and do take a hike on the Art Loeb Trail.
All the water falling down from the sky makes Westridge a wet place; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and October on the other hand is the driest.
