Vanderpool Campgrounds is a popular spot with campers from Vilas. If you adore the outdoors, you won’t be disappointed; there's fishing, hiking, swimming, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t get bored. There are so many enjoyable things to do in the neighborhood of Vanderpool Campgrounds, and when you're here you're always having a tremendous time.
Throughout the summer highs here at Vanderpool Campgrounds get into the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's.
    Through the winter highs are in the 40's; overnight lows in the 10's for Vanderpool Campgrounds.
Don't leave Vanderpool Campgrounds without first going for a hike along the Little Pond Mountain Trail, and Hayes Bluff is a glorious location to take a look at while in the region.
At this campground you will always have a nice time. Here at Vanderpool Campgrounds you'll almost certainly meet some folks from Vilas, and Roan Mountain State Park is both wonderful and pretty. Council Gap is a tremendous place to check out close by, and Boone Fork is a nice whitewater spot nearby.
Spending too much time indoors got you down, No need to worry; Vanderpool Campgrounds in North Carolina is the outdoors at its most excellent. So many local attractions and such a large number of things to do will absolutely have you coming back over and over.
 
Different Drum Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit, and Vanderpool Campgrounds is close to Mount Jefferson State Park which is a gorgeous site.
So many fun things to do at Vanderpool Campgrounds, so little time. There are great locations to look at along the Iron Mountain Trail, and a nice location for whitewater paddling is Watauga River. A lot of precipitation falls at Vanderpool Campgrounds; the wettest month of the year is generally May, that's the one that rains the most, and December on the other hand is the driest. This campground is so nice. Going for a hike on the Yancey Ridge Trail is always a splendid adventure, and close by you come across the Daniel Boone Scout Trail which is a perfect hiking trail.
The slopes of Hawksnest are so inviting noone can resist, and why not pop by close by Linville Creek while you're here at Vanderpool Campgrounds. Famous North Carolina welcome and the competently kept up facilities have a lot of people coming here.
