This campground is always a bliss. A glorious place in the vicinity of Vanderpool Campgrounds is Council Gap, and swing by Linville Creek
 
it's a great location to take a look at. Really delightful skiing awaits you at Hawksnest, and there are great spots to discover along the Little Pond Mountain Trail.
This is such a fun spot for a campground. A spree to Roan Mountain State Park when you're here at Vanderpool Campgrounds is a delightful idea, and going for a hike on the Iron Mountain Trail is always a splendid adventure. There is so much fun stuff next to Vanderpool Campgrounds, and it's one of those places where everything is great. This is a splendid neighborhood for people who like lakes. Different Drum Lake is a lake in close proximity, and there are some good whitewater spots on Watauga River.
Vanderpool Campgrounds gets a great deal of water; the wettest month of the year is frequently May, that's the one that rains the most while December is typically the driest month. As if Vanderpool Campgrounds wasn't sufficient, you can also go swimming, hiking, fishing, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t get bored.
