Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Thousand Trails temperatures dip to the 20's. But wait, there's more to do near Thousand Trails. A great location for whitewater paddling near Thousand Trails is South Yadkin River. Some of the things you can do here at Thousand Trails are whitewater paddling, and playing golf, so it's completely out of the question to get bored. North Carolina is a wonderful site for outdoors people. Dykers Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth taking a look at, and Hanging Rock State Park is a great spot to stretch your legs a bit.
