Sunset Park Campground, North Carolina Custom Search   We love sunset park. Rates are 15.00, and we bought firewood for 5.00 also. My boys went paddling on the paddle boat and swimming in the pond.  We went hiking along a trail to see a big rock that was a part of pilot knob. The Route 1652 to North Carolina Route 772 section is a good 17.8-mile-long class I-II section of whitewater on Dan River. This section of Dan River is good for those missing a great deal of whitewater   knowledge. Always check conditions in advance of a trip raft paddling given that raft paddling is a hazardous activity. Camelot Woods Dam is worth stopping at since you're here, and great family amusement is coming for you at Adventure Landing.
