There are some nice whitewater spots on Pigeon River, and a tour to Pisgah National Forest revives the spirit.

Stone Bridge Campground is a very popular campground with the people in Maggie Valley. Stone Bridge Campground usually gets a great deal of rainfall; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is October.
