Everybody needs to go camping once in a while, and Stone Bridge   Campground is a splendid local campground if you happen to be in North Carolina. The great choice of local attractions, and such a great variety of outdoors recreation are sure to keep you coming back time and again. Stone Bridge Campground is prized by people of Maggie Valley. Cataloochee, the close by ski hill has a height difference of 740 feet; this ski hill has 4 good ski lifts, and 3 feet of great snow yearly covering its 10 ski trails. 25% of the       25 acres of ski terrain at Cataloochee consist of demanding ski trails. But there are pleasant ski trails for young ones and beginners as well; 75% of the ski trails are easy. On Cataloochee Creek you discover the nearby Catalooche   Campground to Waterville Lake portion. This is a type II-III(IV), 6-mile-from-start-to-finish bit of whitewater. When the conditions are right this bit of Cataloochee Creek is an enjoyable bit of river for raft paddling. You must check the situation before heading out; raft paddling can turn perilous.
