| | Riverhouse Acres is a small privately owned campground at the historic east and west forks of the Pigeon River. Cold Mountain is just upriver from us and can be seen from the property. As a small friendly campground we have ''bring a dish'' gatherings in the pavillion. You can be as busy or as quiet as you want to be with many things to see and do in the area and the river at your front door.
Now, you may think that's lots but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Riverhouse Acres. You can run the rapids of Pigeon River near Riverhouse Acres, |
and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Pilot Rock Trail. Riverhouse Acres is a very popular campground among the residents of Canton.
The surroundings of this campground have such an incredible array of things to offer. A round of golf at nearby Lake Junaluska
| Golf Course is a perfect way to kill some time; a beautiful lake like Lake Logan is a good place to visit. When you're here at Riverhouse Acres it's always fun to stop by Pisgah National Forest; playing golf is lots of fun at Iron Tree Golf Course.
If time allows, Blue Ridge Parkway is a national park worth taking a look at, and get your pulse rate up on the delightful whitewater of Pigeon River - East Fork. This is truly a fine campground. You'll meet a lot of people from Canton here, and you can go for a hike on the Black Mountain Trail.

wonderful day at Riverhouse Acres you can take a hike along the Buck Spring Trail, and Riverhouse Acres is near Poison Cove which is certainly worth stopping at. If you go for the outdoors, you won’t be disappointed; there's playing golf, swimming, whitewater paddling, hiking,
and fishing, so running out of cool stuff to do won’t happen. This camp ground is to be found in the stunning Blue Ridge Mountains.
Camping in North Carolina is such an enjoyable activity. All the water falling down from the sky makes Riverhouse Acres a wet place; most of the
rain falls through July; the driest month of the year is October. Camping out positively is a pleasant thing to do, and Riverhouse Acres in North Carolina is a really brilliant location to spend some time.
There's such a great deal of things to do near Riverhouse Acres, and
if you're trying to find a brilliant location to go for a camping trip, this is a great pick. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Table Rock State Park is a wonderful location to stretch your legs a bit, and
going for a hike on the Art Loeb Trail is always a great adventure.
Summertime highs at Riverhouse Acres mostly tend to be in the 80's with night lows in the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are usually in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Riverhouse Acres are
in the 20's. All the happy folks and a great variety of fun stuff have folks coming here. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. The Thompson Ridge Trail is a good hiking trail near Riverhouse Acres; Pressley Mountain is uncomplicated to spot from Riverhouse Acres.
This
campground is so fine. If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Springdale Country Club is a magnificent golf course close by; a quick spree to East Fork Pigeon River is without doubt a good idea. This place, the Blue
Ridge Mountains, has so much outdoors exciting stuff. Head up to Cataloochee and strap some skis to your feet, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Pigeon River - West Fork.
