| | Riverhouse Acres is a small family owned and operated campground at the Forks of the Pigeon River. We are on a nine acre farm, so you have the river in front of you and the farm behind. Riverhouse Acres is close to everything you want to visit but far enough away that you're comfortable doing nothing. The campground is in a valley surrounded by mountains, so we have the best weather in the area. We average summer temperatures of mid seventies to mid eighties. Spring and fall bring T- shirt weather during the day and long sleeves at night. Winter is layering weather. |

You start with sweaters go to T-shirts and as the day goes on you layer back up, you might need a coat in the evening. Our farm has organic herbs and vegetables and you can get fresh eggs from our free range chickens. With advance notice you can work with the beehives and the procuring
| of honey. These are some of the different things your family can see or do on property.
Paddling on Pigeon River - East Fork is so much fun, and hiking along the Black Mountain Trail is tremendous fun. Riverhouse Acres is a reasonably wet place generally with lots of precipitation; July is the wettest month with most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. journey, try Poison Cove, and Rocky Knob is easy to spot from Riverhouse Acres.
Having a magnificent time in the Blue Ridge Mountains is painless. Golf can be played at Springdale Country Club, and splendid hiking is available along the Buck Spring Trail. Whohoo, so much exciting
stuff in one place! The Blue Ridge Mountains is unbeatable! Get soaked paddling on Pigeon River, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Riverhouse Acres; Thompson Ridge Trail is a great local trail. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the area in
close proximity to Riverhouse Acres has to offer. Take a hike on the Art Loeb Trail; needless to say, everybody loves Pisgah National Forest.
Riverhouse Acres in fact is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. Table Rock State Park is worth checking out if you're at Riverhouse
Acres; stopping by Blue Ridge Parkway is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. Whitewater paddling is brilliant on Pigeon River - West Fork; for you golfers we recommend nearby Lake Junaluska Golf Course. This is such a great campground.
The surroundings of this
campground have such a vast number of things to offer. Iron Tree Golf Course is a golf course close to Riverhouse Acres, and you can hit the slopes at Cataloochee close by. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors cool stuff the Blue Ridge Mountains has to offer. Don't forget
to take a splendid little tour to East Fork Pigeon River, and while you're here, you could also have a look at wonderful Lake Logan. For the period of the summer months, highs usually are in the 80's at Riverhouse Acres, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. The cold
days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Riverhouse Acres dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights.
