Soar down the rapids of Tuckasegee River - West Fork in a kayak; Balsam Gap is also a pleasant site to look at. All the pleasant local attractions close at hand and all the outdoors recreation are brilliant reasons to come. | to get out of the house, and Moonshine Creek, North Carolina is a good location for getting out. Moonshine Creek is a very well prized campground by the folks in Balsam. While you're here at Moonshine Creek you can take a hike along the Asbury Trail, and don't forget to take a magnificent little tour to Woodfin Creek. of the amusing stuff you can do is hiking, playing golf, and whitewater paddling, so almost certainly you want to stay for a while. This segment of North Carolina has a good deal of outdoors activities available. Moonshine Creek is a wet location that gets a lot of precipitation;
the month with most of the rain is July, and the driest month of the year is October. Judaculla Mountain can be distinguished from Moonshine Creek, and a spree to Keowee-Toxaway State Park invigorates the soul. All the cheery people and the tremendous quality of everything here
are in themselves reason enough to come here. Throughout the warm days of summer at Moonshine Creek highs are ordinarily in the 80's while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 60's. Through the winter highs are commonly in the 40's; night lows in the 20's for Moonshine Creek.
Paddling on Tuckasegee River is so much fun; do take a hike on the Caldwell Fork Trail. And if that's not sufficient there's lots more fun stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Francis Marion-Sumter National Forests is a brilliant site, and lots of folks from Balsam come here.
Just can't get enough of the Blue Ridge Mountains. A day on the slopes of Cataloochee is just what you need, and you can have a delightful hiking adventure along the Palmer Creek Trail.
