A class I-II, 7.4-mile-long whitewater section can be found on close by Broad River, the Lake Lure Dam to Route 1181   portion. It's probably all right to go whitewater rafting and kayaking on this section of Broad River even if you believe your whitewater rafting and kayaking skills aren't very tremendous. You ought to check the latest conditions in advance of a trip; whitewater rafting and kayaking could get treacherous. A wonderful game of mini golf is always cool at Outdoor Family FUN Center, and some nearby water includes Cane Creek.   AMENITIES Tent camping is available - 30 sites. All tent sites have water, electricity, a picnic table and a fire ring. RV hookups are available - Full service:  water, electric, sewage, picnic table and fire ring.  3 - 50 amp sites, 22 - 30 amp sites open year round. Pets are allowed - Must be on a leash at all times. Can not be left in the campground unattended. The owners of aggressive or nuisance animals will be asked to leave. Campfires are allowed - We have metal fire rings on every site.  We also sell firewood. Grocery store nearby - The Ingles grocery store is less than 1 mile away. No pool - We do have a fishing pond.
