| is a nearby lake that you could visit. A lot of people camp here so they can go to Mount Jefferson State Park. Some activities here at Hitchin Post RV Park are hiking, fishing, swimming, and whitewater paddling, so it's just not possible to get bored.

Hitchin Post RV Park is an old favorite with people of Deep Gap. There's whitewater on Thunderhole Creek for all you adrenaline kick people; obviously, everyone loves Mount Jefferson State Park. Hitchin Post RV Park is a wet place that gets a lot of rain;
during May this area sees the most rain while December is commonly the driest month.
Quite a lot of fun things to do right next door to Hitchin Post RV Park, and spending time at this campground is incredibly fun.
Throughout the summer at Hitchin Post RV Park temperatures
are usually in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Hitchin Post RV Park. This campground is so beautiful. There are some great whitewater spots on Elk Creek; New River State Park is a fine place to go.
