Summertime highs at French Broad River Campground frequently tend to be in the 80's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 60's. do is abundant; it's one of those sites where everything is tremendous. Float down the rapids of French Broad River in a kayak, and you can go for a hike on the Pilot Rock Trail. This camp ground is one of the great sites to camp here in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

this campground is always a fine idea. Don't leave French Broad River Campground without first going for a hike along the Thompson Ridge Trail, and Pisgah National Forest is a wonderful location to go. All the outdoors exciting things in the Blue Ridge Mountains will keep you coming
back again and again. If you come at the right time of year, Walnut Creek offers some magnificent whitewater, and close by you find the Shut-In Trail which is a fine hiking trail.
From French Broad River Campground you get a magnificent panorama of Goldview Knob, and going for a hike on the Laurel Mountain Trail is always a glorious adventure.
