| | Fort Cannon Campground is incredibly well loved by the folks from Franklin. So many local attractions and all the outdoors recreation are good incentives to come. If you love the outdoors, you won’t be dissatisfied; there's hiking, whitewater paddling, and playing golf, so probably you want to stay for a while. Coming to this campground is always a good idea. Paddling on Cullasaja River is so much fun, and going for a hike on the Stewart Trail is always a wonderful adventure. If only every spot had this much outdoors amusing things, what a great world |
it would be. The snow is fine at Scaly Mountain, and there's some interesting stuff to see at Pine Hill Trailer Park Dam in close proximity to Fort Cannon Campground. Lots of folks opt for Fort Cannon Campground when going to Nantahala National Forest. Places like Nantahala
| National Forest are great to pop by, and you can go for a hike on the Hurricane Creek Trail. This campground is so gorgeous. A splendid spot to check out right next door to Fort Cannon Campground is Porter Cove, and naturally Mashburn Branch flows through this vicinity. While you're here at Fort Cannon Campground you can play some golf at Franklin Golf Course, and you're sure to encounter some smiling people from Franklin here. to take a look at. As long as you like the outdoors you will like North Carolina. Get covered with water paddling on Cartoogechaye River; nearby you discover the Gage Trail which is a perfect hiking trail. High temperatures at Fort Cannon Campground through the days of summer
are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 40's while Fort Cannon Campground night low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 20's. This camp ground is one of the pleasant places to camp here in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
