Flintlock Campground, North Carolina

  All the happy folks and all the cool things are a perfect draw for loads of folks.
Flintlock Campground is a very popular campground among campers from Banner Elk. You truly shouldn't be in a building every day; you need to get out every now and then, and Flintlock Campground is a nice local campground if you happen to be in North Carolina. This campground is so beautiful. If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Watauga River; Roan Mountain State Park is a glorious site to go to on a gorgeous day.
Throughout
    the summertime months at Flintlock Campground temperatures are usually in the 70's, and the night is quite chillier of course, ordinarily in the 50's. All through the winter the highs are frequently in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Flintlock Campground. Flintlock
Campground truly is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. The slopes of Hawksnest are so inviting nobody can resist; you're sure to stumble upon some friendly folks from Banner Elk here.
A round of golf at nearby Mountain Glen Golf Club is a great way to kill some time, and as expected Moody Mill Creek flows through this vicinity. This is in fact a great campground. Go for a hike on the Daniel Boone Scout Trail, and Lake James State Park is both great and pretty. Whitewater paddling is brilliant on Boone Fork; in all probability you're looking
 
for close by lakes? Sure, Rosasco Lake Upper is just a very short distance away.
The peak of Nettle Knob can be distinguished from Flintlock Campground, and nearby you discover Townsend Gap which is a tremendous place to stop by. There's more to do in close proximity to Flintlock Campground other than just hanging out such as hiking, swimming, playing golf, whitewater paddling, and fishing, so perhaps you want to stay for a while. North Carolina is a nice site for outdoors folks.
Paddling on Watauga River is so much fun; at Devils Lake Dam in close proximity to Flintlock Campground there are some attention-grabbing things to see.
The perfect variety of local attractions and the nearby outdoors recreation are nice causes to come. Don't leave Flintlock Campground without first going for a hike along the Yancey Ridge Trail. Flintlock Campground mostly gets much rain; May is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is December.
