Flintlock Campground is a very popular campground among campers from Banner Elk. You truly shouldn't be in a building every day; you need to get out every now and then, and Flintlock Campground is a nice local campground if you happen to be in North Carolina. This campground is so beautiful. If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Watauga River; Roan Mountain State Park is a glorious site to go to on a gorgeous day.

Paddling on Watauga River is so much fun; at Devils Lake Dam in close

The perfect variety of local attractions and the nearby outdoors recreation are nice causes to come. Don't leave Flintlock Campground without first going for a hike along the Yancey Ridge Trail.
