  Going for a weekend of camping here in North Carolina is something you must do. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Wesser Creek Trail, and the peak of O'Dear Knob can be seen from Cherokee Campground.
A campground like this is too nice to miss. If you haven’t been to Great Smoky Mountains National Park, you have to schedule some time for it while you're here; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Tuckasegee River.
Cherokee Campground is a very popular old favorite campground among the people from
    Cherokee. The high level of precipitation makes Cherokee Campground a rather wet location; March is the wettest month with most rain, and October is when it's the driest. You've been indoors for too long, and Cherokee Campground in North Carolina is a good choice.
This campground
is so nice. Take a hike on the Palmer Creek Trail; a spree to Black Rock Mountain State Park when you're here is never a bad idea. This camp ground is located in the scenic Great Smoky Mountains.
Some of the things you can do here at Cherokee Campground are swimming, whitewater paddling, hiking, and fishing, so you won’t get bored. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Cherokee Campground is right by the Messer Trail, and Nick Bottom is something you shouldn't miss since you're here. All the positive people and a wonderful variety of amusing
 
things will make you feel great.
Now, you may imagine that's a lot but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Cherokee Campground. If you come at the right time of year, Oconaluftee River offers some fine whitewater, and there's perfect hiking along the Tsali Horse Trail. Near Cherokee Campground you stumble on delightful locations like Thomas Valley, and the Sugarland Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best. Gotta ski! Cataloochee is a wonderful place to do that, and not far from Cherokee Campground you acquire some great water scenery at Homer Burgess Dam.
So much entertaining stuff to do in the Great Smoky Mountains, not enough time. There's whitewater on Deep Creek for all you thrill seekers; there's some flowing water nearby, McCoy Branch is a stream you can stop at while you're here. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Great Smoky Mountains. If you get bored of Cherokee Campground, you could also check out nearby Tuc-a-way Lake. This site, the Great Smoky Mountains, has so much outdoors entertaining things. You'll meet a lot of people from Cherokee here, and going to Nantahala National Forest is a magnificent thing to do.
Summertime highs at Cherokee Campground generally tend to be in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's; nighttime lows during the wintertime for Cherokee Campground tend to be in the 20's. There's absolutely no way to run out of amusing things to do near Cherokee Campground; it is one of a lot of good campgrounds in this vicinity.
