Going for a hike on the Shut-In Trail is always a good adventure, and the top of Gouch Peak is easily seen from Campfire Lodgings. This campground is so fine. Not far from Campfire Lodgings you obtain some good water scenery at Beaver Lake Dam; there is a perfect hiking trail nearby called the Side Hill Trail. in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Swannanoa River, and since you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby Asheville. A campground like this is too fine to miss. Going for a weekend of camping here in North Carolina is something you should
do. So much enjoyable stuff near Campfire Lodgings; it's one of those locations where everything is good. You could also check out Beaver Lake if you're here at Campfire Lodgings; it's close by, and Mount Mitchell State Park is a fine place to go. Scores of people stay here
