Boone KOA, Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina Custom Search   We have stayed at the Boone KOA several times, and it has always been a pleasant experience. We enjoy feeding the goats and deer, and the campground is a wonderful home base for exploration of the area. Says Sarah York Boone KOA is a glorious site for horseback riding, and swimming pools are always splendid, and there's one here, so you may go for a dip. Cool off with a wonderful swim, and a good bicycle ride here is always fun. A store is available       for your convenience, and also enjoy golfing here. Boone KOA is a fine position for tent camping; this is an outstanding location for boating. It's always exciting to go for a canoe ride at Boone KOA. Many enjoyable video games   could be played at the arcade, and there are RV hookups for your RV here. There is lodging where you could stay the night in delightful comfort; there are great comfortable cabins here. Bring your fishing hat since fishing here is nice ; when the sun is out at Boone KOA you can always enjoy the weather at the picnic area. The gameroom is enjoyable for everyone, and going for an outstanding hike is always enjoyable here. The 4 feet of snow that fall every       year at the nearby ski area Appalachian Mountain is delightful. Appalachian Mountain has 5 great ski lifts, a great 365-foot drop from top to bottom, and 9 runs. Appalachian Mountain is a great ski area with 17 acres of skiing area.   35% of the runs are difficult and 65% are blue and green. The Globe Road to Upton segment is a good 3.5-mile-long class III+ part of whitewater on Thunderhole Creek. This part of Thunderhole Creek is advised for whitewater boaters of medium experience. Don't snub to check circumstances ahead of going raft paddling to ensure your wellbeing.
